What to Expect When Ordering Custom-Made Products

At Bare Metals Welding, we take pride in crafting high-quality custom products tailored to your needs. However, custom fabrication is a complex process with many moving parts, and we want to be transparent about what to expect when placing an order.

1. Secure Your Project Slot ASAP

We work on multiple projects at a time, so to ensure your project gets into our production schedule as soon as possible, we recommend placing your order early. Waiting too long could result in longer lead times, especially during busy periods.

We understand that you may want to shop around before making a decision. However, metal prices fluctuate due to market conditions, and our quoted prices are generally valid for two weeks. After that, pricing may need to be adjusted based on current material costs and availability. Locking in your order early helps secure pricing and minimizes the risk of cost increases.

If you have deadlines, please keep in mind that we prioritize quality over speed. While we work efficiently, we won’t cut corners to rush a job. Allowing ample time for fabrication ensures we deliver the high-quality craftsmanship you expect

2. Estimated Timeframes – Not Guarantees

Every custom project is unique, and while we provide estimated completion timelines, these are our best projections based on current workloads, material availability, and production complexity. Unexpected delays can happen, and we appreciate your patience if adjustments are necessary.

Changes to your project—such as additions, increased quantities, new design elements, or modifications—can extend the estimated timeframe and may result in additional costs. Any adjustments affecting price will be communicated and approved by you before proceeding.

Additionally, delays in response time from clients can also impact production schedules. Prompt approvals and clear communication help keep your project on track and avoid unnecessary delays.

3. Material Availability & Substitutions

Certain materials may become unavailable or delayed due to supply chain issues. If this happens, we will communicate with you about potential alternatives that maintain quality and functionality. Any material changes will always be approved by you before proceeding.

Due to the nature of our work, we quote projects based on our expertise and how we anticipate building them—whether it’s rooftop domes, gates, railings, chandeliers, chicken cages, or custom soap dispenser brackets. However, original plans don’t always work as expected. When necessary, we make material or design adjustments to ensure the final product is functional, durable, and built to the highest standards.

4. Shipping & Supply Chain Delays

External factors beyond our control, such as supplier shortages, carrier delays, or weather disruptions, can impact material arrival and shipping timelines. While we do everything possible to minimize delays, we recommend allowing extra time for your order, especially for time-sensitive projects.

5. Design Adjustments & Oversights

Despite careful planning, custom projects sometimes require adjustments during production. Occasionally, minor details may be overlooked or need refining after work has begun. If any issues arise, we will work with you to find the best solution while maintaining the integrity of the design.

6. Final Installation Date Flexibility

If your project includes installation, please keep in mind that shifting production and delivery timelines may also affect your final installation date. We recommend scheduling installations with some flexibility in case adjustments are needed.

Our Commitment to You

We strive to deliver high-quality, custom-crafted products while keeping you informed every step of the way. Communication is key, and we will always do our best to provide updates, discuss any necessary changes, and work with you to ensure the best possible outcome.

If you have any questions or concerns at any point in the process, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help!
